IATA endorses core principles for consumer protection at 69th AGM

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) 69th Annual General Meeting (AGM) and World Air Transport Summit, which is being held from June 2-4 in Cape Town, South Africa, unanimously endorsed a set of core principles for governments to consider while adopting consumer protection regulation. Around 50 countries have passenger rights requirements affecting air transport, while several are considering imposing them.
