    These safety guidelines for Rajasthan, India will prove quite useful to you if you are planning to visit this place.
    Holidays In Rajasthan The colorful culture, costumes and customs of the people of Rajasthan are sure to catch your attention. The people clad in bright colored cloths are captivating, the fairs and festivals they celebrate are simply fantastic.

    Best Time to visit: Best Time To Visit Rajasthan Rajasthan summers are extremely hot and dry. The day is too hot, the nights cool. It is advisable for the tourists visiting in summers to wear loose cotton clothes.

    Money Exchange : Money Exchange In Rajasthan Money exchange is not a problem these days as Indian Economy has liberalized and opened up. There are lots of money exchangers in Rajasthan. You will find a lot of kiosks near Railway station and Bus stand but try and stick to the government authorized ones.

    Transport : Local Transport In Rajasthan Rajasthan has a very good network of air, roads and train. Making travelling in Rajasthan safe and less tiring. With good road conditions you can also explore the interiors of Rajasthan buy hiring a car.

    Handling Beggars : In Rajasthan you are bound to come across beggars. Mostly you will find them begging at the red lights or at the tourist spot. Dont give to much otherwise it will attract moe beggars too, you can ask the police too if they keep on bugging you and following you. Just ignore them they are like a scam !

    Health Precautions For Rajasthan: To enjoy your travel, health precautions should be given top most priority. Like any other place in the world, try to keep clean and always carry your own food and water with you, Avoid eating food from street sides as they may cause hygiene issues

    Tourist Guides In Rajasthan: You will be approached by many tourist guides once you are there, always choose the one who are authorized by government. You can book a tour from a tour company before you even visit there, their are many tour companies who can help you plan a tour for you and make available all the necessary things for your tour.

    Bargaining: DO Not hesitate , trust me you will benefit a lot.

    Rajashthan Travel Tips That What to do and Don't

    @ Do- Always try to book hotels which is recommended or approved by Indian tourism
    Don't - Do not stay with prople you meet at railway station, bust stand or any shopping areas

    @ Before paying to hotel, you always check about its authorisation by the department of tourism
    Don't - Do not give permission to anyone to drink in your room

    @ Do- Always locked the room when you out for sight seeing or any shopping.

    @ Do -Hire taxis from approved travel agency

    @ Do -Always insist on a bill for purchases made
    Don't let the driver coax you into doing more shopping than sight seeing

    @ Do- Purchase anything from reputed or recognised shops.
    Don't- Avoid showrooms near tourist sites or else ensure the price and authenticity of the purchase being made.

    @ Do- Take from authorised money exchangers and take a receipt.
    Don't- Avoid help of guide /driver while shopping. Try to avoid shops recommended by them.

        DO's
        ACCOMODATION: -
        *Always book into approved hotels or RTDC run hotels.

        *Make enquiries at the information bureaux located at most Railway stations, Bus stands, Airports

        *Before staying in a paying guest accommodation, always check about its authorisation by the Department of Tourism

        Always keep your hotel room locked when there or when out for sight seeing, shopping.


        SHOPPING:

        Always insist on a bill for purchases made

        Purchase from reputed or recognised shops.

        Ensure RST/ CST registration numbers in a corner on the bill sheet.

        Payments made by credit cards must have the amount mentioned in words and numerical too.

        Always double-check the goods in the parcel before leaving the shop or allowing it to be packed for despatch.

        Ensure payment by credit cards is made only once for each bill.

        Wrongly made out bills must be destroyed there and then to avoid double payment to the shopkeeper.
        TRANSPORT:

        *Take autorikshaws from pre paid kiosk wherever available.

        *Otherwise settle the amount before embarking on the journey.

        *Hire taxis from approved Travel Agency, RTDC or through Govt. Tourist Reception Centres
        Dont,s
        *Don't stay with or be coaxed into staying with people you meet at Railway platforms, Bus stands or shopping areas.

        Don't think you are getting a bargain if a free ride is given by any transporters to a hotel, check with tourist information office first.
        Don't allow any one into your room for a drink and snacks or just a chat unless the person is really well known to you


        SHOPPING: -

        *Don't let the driver coax you into doing more shopping than sight seeing

        Avoid showrooms near tourist sites or else ensure the price and authenticity of the purchase being made.

        Avoid shops that have names very similar to govt. run emporia or concerns like RTDC(Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation) or Rajasthali, Which are public sector undertakings.

        Don't sign on blank letter heads or bills.

        Avoid carrying out business or developing relations for furthering business with unknown persons who are sweet talkers and at times impeccable turned out.
        TRANSPORT:

        *Free rides can culminate in trouble at hotel suggested by the driver.

        *Don't leave your valuables, luggage with the driver

        *Make enquires (As to where & how far each monument, tourist site is located ) before setting out on sight seeing with only the driver as a guide.
