It is strip of land between the Arabian Sea and the Western Ghats majestic charm of the local culture, scenic locales, rubber and coffee plantations and beautiful beaches are enough to spell bound anyone. It has long beaches, misty mountains, elegant rivers and charming inland water bodies. Beaches like Kovalam, Shankhumugham, Mararikulam, Fort Kochi and Payyambalam are breathtakingly beautiful. This hills of Wayanad and Idukki are lush green and charming. Rivers like Periyar, Kallar, Pamba and hundreds of rivulets make picture post card views. The inland water bodies such as Vembanad and Ashtamudi land are incredibly charming. Kerala is full of coconut trees, be it on the beaches or in the hills. Kerala has many inland water bodies. Many of them are connected to the sea and are called backwaters. A house boat ride in one of them is a date with the nature. Swaying palms leaning to the water, chirping birds, the sound of the little waves and an occasional view of some Chinese fishing nets.

The cool dry season from December to February. (This is the peak tourist season). If you want to avoid the summer heat in India, the hill station of Munnar in Kerala is a good option.

I also visited some places which you have shared in above post, but I have no idea about Darjeeling because I never visit this place in my life. I want to know more about it. If you have not been to Darjeeling then you must plan for visiting this majestic hill station of West Bengal coming this month of May and June. As this is previously a summer retreat of British while residing in India, a colonial nation. The place is situated amidst Himalayan range (Lower Himalaya), has still its colonial essence in its old heritage structure, buildings etc. They had left impression on lifestyle and cuisines also. While travelling through the old lanes and Himalayan Railway you feel like you are at the confluence of two different culture, which gives some height to your travelling. The vast tea plantation is just as amazing as the flavour of its tea, Tiger Hills from where you can witness the pristine yet majestic beauty of Kanchanjunga Mountain. There are many prominent places to visit in Darjeeling like Observatory hills, Singalia National Park, Batasia Top, Japanese Peace pagoda, Neora valley national Park etc.
