Hi there!

Generally, what times of the year are the most expensive and when is the cheapest for hotels?I'm looking to travel to Chicago. I got a great deal last January. Now I see summer prices are significantly higher. But it does look like prices are a little lower in August.

The best time to visit Chicago is June, Summer and Fall. Summer months are extremely hot but during this period Chicago offers a wide range of events and outdoor activities, so this is the main reason for higher accommodation rates.

However autumn months from September to November may be preferable as weather is quite good and lesser crowds. The accommodation rates are also bit lower.

In Chicago, the winter is too cool with icy snow, it seems to be warm from the month of June and it becomes somewhat springy also.. Coming to the hotels and accommodation rates,they are too high in summer, because of the events conducted there, are many at that particular season..The cost is reasonable during the winter.So better to visit Chicago in winter when considered according to the cost of living...

If you are planning for Chicago trip then never think about summer trip because in summer vacation, lot of activities conducted by the tourism department. So its good to visit Chicago in winter as usual its very cold place so charges will be normal.
