The great thing about Germany is that it's got so much culture and history, but at the same time is a very happening, developing place. Everyone is so friendly that even places like Berlin and Hamburg don't seem like the huge cities they are, but rather like communities.
My favourite time to visit Germany is at Christmas because of all the Christmas markets everywhere...and of course the Gluhwein! Though I have to say I am partial to a Pils now and then..! My favourite place is Berlin, but this country definitely has something for everyone.

Germany is not famous for tourism, that is for sure, which is such a big shame. Sure, France has Paris, love, the Eiffel tower, wine and cheese, and Italy has Rome and Venice and wine and see food and pasta, but Germany has lots of things too.
Berlin - capital of Germany, has the famous Berlin Wall remains, Brandenburger Gate, Charlottenburg palace, Spandau Citadel (actually in Spandau)
Nuernberg - world famous toy factory, toy museum, Hitlers colosseum (know from movies where he stood and talked and the army passed waving?), the dome (must visit cathedral)
...
Most every large German city has must see things, most every city has nice or at least respectable hotels and gasthauses and good beer, good food. The brezel, german dry wines, grapes, bicycle roads, man many times around the year you can find some sort of festival going on.
Oh and I forgot, know the Disney Castle? It's German. "Neuschwanstein Castle"
