Well, you can travel there by Airport and then just book a hotel. Or you could go to St. Petersburg instead, a city that is much more beautiful (it's my city of birth) and then get to Moscow using a SAPSAN quick train (it takes about 3 hours to arrive to Moscow from St. Petersburg). Or otherwise I guess you could just travel by car, depending where you live. I do not really understand why you're asking through. This is pretty common sense.

If you are alone and you are travelling in Moscow i suggest to you that you do not wear extra ordinary things or costly things because you might get robbed specially when they know that you are not Moscow citizen..Moscow is most expensive city of Russia....
