How do I get US traffic?

Hello All,

I'd like to know how to go about making sure I get as much us US traffic as possible.Should I just be trying to get as high as possible in google and the rest will just fall into place? Tell me if there are any other ways or tools to generate more US traffic because my website is US reletive.
