The Alabama Gulf Coast beach towns of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach are within an easy drive for folks in Atlanta, Birmingham, Huntsville, Nashville, Jackson Mississippi and New Orleans.

Fall is absolutely the best time to visit. The rates are so much lower than in the summer months. The nights are a little cool, but not cold. The days warm up and many times it is warm enough for short sleeves and a barefoot walk on the beach.
