Absolutely gutted

I was supposed to be celebrating my birthday by going away this month, on a public holiday, just for 3 days. That is really not asking much, is it? Well, our landlord decided not to renew our lease, and now we have had to spend on deposit plus first months´ rent elsewhere, plus moving costs, etc, and so bye-bye birthday holiday.

Sorry to hear that, truly a slap in the face, but remember after rain the sun usually comes around. Don't dispair. Come up with something cheap locally there must be lots of things you can do to celebrate your birthday. But I know a holiday is a holiday and expectations are usually at peak.

Thank you for the birthday wishes, much appreciated. I guess the best thing to do is to make the holiday later in the year, due to moving costs. I was really looking forward to it, though. Oh well, one door closes, another will open.
