  • Using Cell Phones in Europe?

I will be traveling to Greece for 6 weeks, and I NEED to have a cell phone with me while I'm there. I have a blackberry curve 8530, and when I went to the Verizon store to ask about the international plan, the guy there told me it would be so much cheaper to just get an Unlocked GSM phone and get a pre-paid card when I get to Greece.

I read somewhere that there is a SIM card that some phones can use that will adapt to the plan that is used there. Is there one available for the Blackberry Curve 8530? Is the SIM card similar to the international plan or would it be cheaper?

Many thanks in advance for the help.
