Video Eldorado is a road trip by a group of 5-7 young people who will be travelling to Central America (from quebec to Panama) on a refurbished old school bus…all in the name of adventure!
Complete with cameras in hand, ideas flowing and with a need for adventure, the project consists not only of getting out on the open road, but also to record and reflect upon our ongoing journey through online videos of the trip, to mingle and give photo/video/art workshops in the communties we encounter, and to build ties with humanitarian projects we meet along the way. All this on a bus converted to run on vegetable oil!
Its all about the people you meet, the encounters, cultures and nature, it’s the inexplicable, the unpredictable…it’s LIFE!
LIFE is filled with thought, ingenuity, humour, bravery, eccentricity, charm and energy…

We are still looking for 2-3 people. So here goes, here are the kind of people we are looking for/ or the kind of people that the team could benefit from : people with mechanical knowledge, musicians, graphical wizz/ web design mogul, people with some knowledge of spanish. Inexperienced travellers don’t be put off! You are most welcome too! Above all we would like just to have people that have the inherent desire to travel, and people who aren’t afraid to get stuck in and lend a hand towards the adventure.
We will be leaving on 1st April max and returning late June. We reckon at the moment that an investment of around $2000-3000 CAD would be sound for ALL (bus, fuel, communal food etc) Although the project is completely self-financed for the moment, we are currently attempting to finance at least part of the trip pre-departure, during, and on our return.
