There are a number of buses to get there from Panaji and Mapusa and the best time to visit the place is from September to March.

The Golden Temple is the holiest shrine of the Sikh religion. It stands amidst a pool of water called the Amrit Sarovar. The temple has four entrances in all four directions and welcomes everyone regardless of their religion. The upper storey of the temple is plated with gold and shaped like an inverted lotus.
