Maltese Islands
Hi All,
In my many travels one of the best places I have come across is the Maltese Islands. Malta and it's sister island Gozo and of course the little island of Comino in-between are situated in the middle of the mediterranean sea.
I'm not a history buff, but Malta has more history than you can shake a stick at. The Knights of Malta, Pre-historic sites, underground tombs....very cool museums and lots of World War II stuff as well. Appearantly is was the most bombed place in the world during the second world war. It's a very cool place, people are very pleasant and the nightlife is excellent, it's just one of those places where you can chill-out in places like the blue lagoon or go an club the week away. Your choice.
Lots of sites out there about Malta, but the one I like is Try Malta | Your guide to the mediterranean islands of Malta. (very nice photos throughout the site), especially in the photo gallery. Also if your into diving then this one of the best places in the mediterrenean. Not too hard on the pocket either, my kind of place.
