  • Recommended Slovenia city guide

    Hi there!

I must recommend to all those who are travelling to Slovenia one essential thing:

the In Your Pocket Ljubljana city guide!

I'm from Denmark and i've travelled with 2 of my friends to an unofficial meeting in Ljubljana. Once arrived there, we didn't know much about the city, but then we bought that InYourPocket Ljubljana city guide, what showed up as a best-buy!
A little book with more than all the necessary information, without unnecessary bloat! All the basic info about the country, hotels, pubs, bars, nightlife, transport, cuisine, culture, nature, including Ljubljana map etc etc...

According to this was the 1st edition of the book, it is more than excellent!!

Later i've also found a website where, now i see, the book can be also downloaded for free. If you buy it printed, it costs around 3 Euro what is nothing!!

Here's the website: Slovenia In Your Pocket

I really recommend to all of you who are travelling to Slovenia!!

    Cheers, Ian!

    Thanks for info.

At Tourist information centre in Ljubljana (located on left bottom side of your picture) you can also get some others free quality brochures about Ljubljana sights with maps. But usually they dont put it on shelves so you have to ask for them.

      Slovenia

I think otherwise people in Slovenia are quite friendly and most of them/us speak atleast English if not also German, Italian or Spanish (very popular these days) and are usually willing to help tourists with info on whereabouts.

      Greetings,

      Mateja
