Hi everyone!
My name is Olga and I work with the Israel ministry of tourism on the dead sea new7wonders campaign.
As you may know - the Dead Sea has been chosen as one of the 28 finalists in the new7wonders campaign, and the vote will be held on nov. 11 2011.
In order to support the nomination and expose the dead sea to more people in the world - we have built a website: vote dead sea for the new7wonders of the nature
and started a facebook group: Vote Dead Sea for the New7Wonders of Nature | Facebook
So here are some facts about the Dead Sea that you might not know:
1.The Dead Sea is the second saltiest body of water in the world after Lake Assal in Djibouti, Africa.
2.The salt concentration in the Dead Sea is 33.7%, compared with the salt concentration in the Mediterranean Sea, which is between 3.5% and 3.9%.
3.The high salt content is what makes possible the unique floating experience enjoyed by bathers in the Dead Sea.
So vote for Dead sea on the website and come to visit!!!!
