Great news for the thousands of green card applicants as they will no longer “age out” with the latest federal appeals court ruling that ordered immigration officials to give priority status to the thousands of green card applicants who lost their place in line for U.S. residency when they turned 21 during the protracted U.S. immigration process.
It was finally decided recently by a narrowly divided San Francisco-based U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals that the United States Citizen and Immigration Services had wrongly determined the applicants were no longer eligible for special US visa application as children of green card holders after they turned 21, reversing the earlier court rulings.
