Road trip from Nashville to Ft. Myers, Fl in December

We are doing a road trip to Ft. Myers, Fl. We are looking for an amazing hotel/resort/ bed and breakfast on the way. We are willing to drive out of the way 1 hour. What about must see's or great restaurants?
